Club Foyer>Rainwear Vignettes>John's Armless Fun
Diana's 'old gold' mackintosh cape had caused a great deal of interest amongst their friends as she seemed to wear it so often.
As she so often said, it was too nice to keep just for wet days for she was quite hooked on the enclosed feeling. She loved to sit outside on the pavement when they went for a coffee, which meant she could stay buttoned.
One day Brian and Betty came for lunch and Betty was intrigued when Diana put on her cape when they went for a walk in the spring sunshine. She was fascinated when Diana's arms disappeared and reappeared and by her leaving the top button undone - for ventilation! - but also to flaunt a colourful scarf. When they returned home, Betty simply had to try it on. Diana gave her details of where they were sold and Betty soon placed an order after browsing the catalogue.
A week or so later, her order arrived. It was a lovely emerald green cape. She soon modelled it for Brian, who was quickly turned on by it. Although it was a sunny spring afternoon, she was determined to keep it on - and many a head turned on Hampstead Heath. Brian snapped a few pictures of her and when she did show her arms, her orange jersey stood out against the bright green. They returned home and soon fell into each others arms, Betty enjoying it when Brian unbuttoned her.
The next day David and Diana were coming to lunch and the weather was much the same. Diana had, as usual, put on her cape. They enjoyed a sumptious lunch and after coffee decided to go on the Heath. The ladies looked lovely, Diana being delighted when Betty donned her cape and left the top button undone to flaunt a scarlet scarf of her own. They met a few friends out and about who commented on how colourful they looked. They told them that capes were fun, rain or sun! David and Diana then went on their way, Brian and Betty returned home.
A few evenings later, they went to see 'Made in Dagenham' at the cinema. As it was getting warmer, Betty was in a sleeveless dress and Brian exclaimed! Betty told him to make the most of the moment as she flipped her cape over her shoulders, threaded her arms through the slits and did up the buttons. She shed it when they were settled and enjoyed the film very much. When it ended, Brian dropped her cape on her shoulders and they went for a drink. It was warm in the bar and Betty soon undid the buttons and looked lovely with her cape open at the front, showing her gorgeous dress. All too soon it was time to go and she was buttoning up to combat the chill night air. Soon they were home and locked together. Brian loved the smooth feeling of Betty's cape but didn't deter him from undoing the buttons. Soon they were on the sofa, the whisky decanter was at hand, and the fun started......
