Club Foyer>Rainwear Vignettes>John's Armless Fun
Rosie had been a child actress in her younger days and treasured playing 'Red Riding Hood' as a teenager. She had loved wearing the red cloak on stage and would liked to have kept it. However she dropped acting and opted for secretarial work in London and lived in a South Kensington flat.
One day, during her lunch hour she spotted a beautiful plum-coloured gabardine cape and just had to buy it. She figured it would protect her from the rain but could also be worn with impunity whatever the weather.
That weekend, Norman, her boyfriend, was coming to stay and was coming up from the West Country, arriving at Waterloo at 8pm so she was going to meet him. After work she changed out of uniform and donned a white sweater and black skirt.
At 7pm, she donned her cape and, as it was a chilly April evening was soon buttoned and hooded. As she was a trifle short sighted she put on her glasses so as to spot Dean. She had good taste and her glasses suited her. In fact, she was as pretty as a picture whether she was wearing them or not. Being streetwise she kept her handbag inside her cape all the way to Waterloo.
Just after 8pm the train from Yeovil arrived with the Merchant Navy class loco blowing steam everywhere. The passengers spilled out and there was Dean. He hadn't seen her in a cape before but suddenly spotted her and Rosie's arms came out to embrace him. He told her how pretty and romantic she looked as they made their way home in a taxi. As it was a special occasion the kissing could go on.
They reached the flat and once inside they had a fine time. Rosie's glasses were soon removed and soon her cape was undone. She loved it when Dean undid the buttons. The rest of the evening went by with a meal, the sofa and bed...
Next day, when they surfaced, it was very much warmer and they decided to go to see 'West Side Story'in the evening. Dean decided to leave his sweater off and Rosie was in a short sleeved lilac dress but she told Dean that though it might be warmer she was still go to put on her cape, which she did when they went to 'The Scarsdale' for a prelunch drink. However on this occasion she left the hood down.
She kept it buttoned though until they went for a Chinese meal nearby, where she shed it so Dean could enjoy her figure.
The afternoon was spent in Hyde Park, rowing on the Serpentine with Dean at the oars. Dean also took a few photos of her both hooded and unhooded and with her bare arms peeping through the armslits. After tea at a nearby teashop they went to the theatre where Rosie undid her cape. They both enjoyed the show.
They rounded off the night with a steak at an Angus steak house with plenty of wine. They were well lubricated when it was time to go. Dean dropped Rosie's cape onto her shoulders and she smiled at him as she did up the buttons and slid her arms out of sight. Soon they were back at the flat where they kissed, and Rosie's cape was undone, and discarded. They were on the sofa way into the night.
Dean went home on Sunday afternoon with Rosie seeing him off at Waterloo. Dean's last act was to 'open her up' before boarding the train.
