Club Foyer>Rainwear Vignettes>John's Armless Fun
Marie was half French and lived in London with her partner Bill. Both worked in the city.Marie had a female cousin who lived in Paris, so every now and then she would disappear for a week. Bill was quite happy for her to do this as he would go off fishing with his friends.
Marie went off to Paris one spring to stay with Yannick and, inevitably, they visited shops. When in Galeries Lafayette she spotted a beautiful rain cape, which she just had to have. Luckily she could well afford it and tried it on, twirling around to Yannick's amusement.
The period was the mid-70s and it looked very fashionable. She liked it because it was rubber on the inside and the outside of a cottony nature, so all right to wear on fine days. She paid for it and put it over her arm, when they went to lunch.
Afterwards they ventured out into a pleasant spring day. Both looked very chic in tweed suits and Marie wearing a red beret. Soon Marie felt she must put on her cape but left it open to flaunt her tweed suit. Many glanced at her.
The next day she had to fly home and as it was an early morning flight was glad of her cape over her tweed suit. On arrival at Heathrow it was pouring with rain so soon she was buttoned and hooded once through customs. There followed the underground to London and secure from pickpockets as her handbag was under her cape.
She made her way home where Bill was waiting for her. He told her how pretty she looked and so bewitching her face was under the hood. Her arms emerged to clasp his and they were locked in a long embrace during which Bill undid the buttons much to her surprised delight. He loved the rustling noise when she moved.
That night they celebrated their reunion with dinner at Quaglinos and Marie wore her cape over a stunning dress. They dined well and then danced to the music of the resident band. Time was called and outerwear recovered. Bill dropped Marie's cape on her shoulders and watched mesmerised as she fastened the buttons, thereafter sliding her arms out of sight. They caught a bus then a short walk to their home. Bill loved the rustling noise her movement made and, as rain had stopped, her hood was down. At last home was reached and on went the kettle. Soon they were entwined, her cape undone then shed and then the sofa....
Marie wore her cape a lot after that - even on sunny days. As for Bill, it never ceased to turn him on!!!
