What a morning! Jane is struggling to get to work through a cloudburst. She's so glad she bought her new satinised blue raincape a few days ago. She's struggling along with the hood up and one hand holding her umbrella, truly looking a drowned damsel. There is one bright star on the horizon. Her boyfriend Justin is taking her out for a meal tonight, in fact an Indian meal. At last she reaches her office, a haven truly, a relief to shed her cape and umbrella and watch them dripping water onto the carpet. She looks very smart in her grey suit and both business like and sexy when she dons her reading glasses. She thanks her lucky stars she hasn't to wear them all the time! The day passes on and sheets of rain are still coming down.
Five o'clock and time to go home. She looks out of the window and, magic, blue sky and all dry, 'but I'm putting my cape on anyway' says Jane to her friend Betty. She emerges into the street, a lovely sunlit one, but with her hood down and her cape done up, she looks lovely. In fact it is so warm(it is October), that she has to unbutton her cape. She walks happily on home.
At seven o'clock there is a revving engine outside. Justin has come in his MGA to take her to the restaurant. She has changed into a beige dress and slips her cape over the top. They go to the restaurant and enjoy their meal. When it is over they decide on a walk. The car is parked, Jane buttons her cape and steps out. Justin looks on mesmerised as her arms disappear and they happily stroll together. Eventually they reach a secluded copse and fall into each other's arms. Justin hugs her and Jane's arms emerge to hold him. They kiss passionately and Justin undoes her. After a brief pause, Jane does up the buttons, withdraws her arms and back to the car. Back to Jane's flat where the fun starts again and the evening ends on the sofa. . .
Justin decided Jane looked rather good in her cape which encouraged her to wear it whatever the weather. Justin simply loved undoing the buttons.
