Deborah
In the early 80's I went out with a lovely lady called Deborah, delightful in every way but for one - she lacked a Mackintosh.
One rainy night we were talking and I suggested that we go for a walk and she said she would love to but she didn't have a raincoat.
I offered to lend her one and took a black single textured rubberised nylon trench coat out of my wardrobe (left by a previous girlfriend I believe).
Deborah put it on, fastened the buttons, buckled the belt tightly and then declared that it was a perfect fit and a very nice garment to wear.
She also said that she liked the aroma of the rubber and that it was the first time she had ever worn a rubber mac. I said that as she liked it so much that she could keep it. And then we went out for our walk.
We walked for a couple of hours, snug in our macs (I was wearing a 3/4 length lightweight navy blue double-texture hacking mac) and the combination of wind, rain, rubber macs and Deborah's enthusiasm made it a very pleasant couple of hours.
Over the next couple of years I acquired more macs for deborah and she always wore them with great enthusiasm. She looked very sexy in them indeed.
She always wore a riding mac for her horse-riding activities and she said she never minded the weather when she rode wearing her mac.
