Dawn's Passion

Dawn was so delighted with her telemac Cape in 'gunmetal' that she thought it would be fun to get one in a different colour.

The next day a new Gamages catalogue dropped through the letter box and in it was advertised an Alligator cape with a yoked back complete with hood.

She sent away for one in blue.

In a week or so it had arrived and as it was a Saturday she was free all day. Tom was coming over later in the morning so she readied herself for him. It was a showery November day so she was sensibly dressed in a beige suit and a warm sweater.

The bell rings - and there is Tom. He was shown into the front room.

'Won't be a tick,' she says as she leaves the room.

A moment or two later she is back with her new cape on and buttoned.

old mother redcap'Gee,you look swell!' is Tom's comment as they step out into the street.  She tells Tom it is very comfortable and feels a million dollars! They find their way to 'Old Mother Redcap' where they are lunching and wait in the bar area for a table. Soon Dawn is sipping a sherry and Tom a beer. Dawn has undone her cape and looks very fetching with her beige suit revealed.

Their table is ready, so on to the dining room, Dawn having shed her cape. They enjoy a super meal - roast goose with a nice wine to accompany it. They feel pleasantly replete.

Then they are on their way, Dawn having retrieved her cape. They are heading for the Imperial War Museum for an exhibition of 'Women at War'.   Tom was demobbed about a year ago but still likes things military and is in the T.A..  They enjoy looking at everything. A few people shoot admiring glances at Dawn.   She looks magnificent - though she is not the only one in a cape. They went through a heavy shower on the way so her new mac had its road test.

Next stop is the cinema to see 'The Wooden Horse', which both liked very much. As usual Dawn has shed her cape and laid it on Tom's knee. It ends, andTom drops Dawn's cape on her shoulders and they make for 'The Rising Sun' and a quick one. They find a seat and relax, Dawn leaving her cape buttoned to tease Tom. Soon Time is called and they are off home in a taxi.  Time for a snog! with Dawn stopping Tom going too far...

Home at last! Soon they are in the warm and in each other's arms.  Dawn's arms are locked round Tom who is entranced by the sound Dawn's cape makes. Eventually he 'undoes her' and her cape is flung aside. They enjoy a late supper and relax with help from a bottle of Famous Grouse brought along by Tom. He is here for the nigh so they can relax. And do what they have to do...
