Country Weekend

It was Friday afternoon.

As soon as work was over, Rosie was off to Yeovil for the weekend. She had her overnight case with her for a quick getaway.

It was a warm day in early September so Rosie dispensed with her jacket, putting it in her case. She slipped on her maroon gabardine cape instead and felt just right!  She did up the buttons. She felt it looked neater 'done up' than open.

She hopped on a bus to Waterloo, found the Yeovil train and secured a seat. She snuggled happily inside her cape, watching the scenery flash by.   She had put on her glasses, to see it better (She was a bit short-sighted).

After a stop at Salisbury for a loco chang the train continued on its way.   Soon, it pulled into Yeovil.

Dean was there to meet her. He quickly kissed her and took over her suitcase. He told her how good she looked and how much he liked seeing her in her cape.

They went out to his car - aTR2! - and sped to his home nearby.  He welcomed her in and soon they were interlocked, her glasses removed and her cape undone.

Eventually they sat down to a late supper with plenty of wine, after which they relaxed on the sofa, enjoying whisky and other things...

They had a late start next day.   After breakfast, Dean said he would show her the countryside.

It was warm again and Rosie was resplendent in a short sleeved dress, Dean saying she looked terrific. However she told him she was going to wear her cape and she proceeded to put it on, and buttoned up.

They drove through Taunton and decided a walk on the Quantocks would be fun.The ground was quite dry but Rosie was glad of her boots. She told Dean it was 'hands off for the time being' as her arms slid from view until they found a secluded place where they had their fun.

blue ball pubAs it had got warmer Rosie decided to leave her cape undone. She looked a picture! They had a pub lunch at the Blue Ball and then continued on their way with a quick look at Watchet. They got back to Yeovil at teatime as they were going to a dinner dance given by Westland's, where Dean worked. It was formal; Dean looked swell in a black tie and Rosie in a dark blue cocktail dress over which went her cape, making a lovely colour contrast. The meal was superb as were the wines and they bopped happily away into the early hours. Eventually it came to an end and Dean helped Rosie on with her cape, who did up the buttons and pulled up the hood to stave off the chill night air. The sped home and were once more interlocked with Rosie's arms emerging to clasp him .It was blissful and Rosie loved it as he 'opened her up'. The sofa and whisky beckoned...

Next morning they rose late and passed a leisurely day until it was time for Rosie to go.

Just before they left, Dean got down on one knee and proposed!

Rosie accepted...

Neil produced a beautiful ring and fitted it.

Rosie had put on her cape and buttoned it up, but couldn't resist sliding her hand out to look at her ring.

They had a final embrace before the train pulled out, with Neil undoing her before she took her place.

It had been a supersonic weekend.
