Dear Lorraine
My name is Sonja, from Australia. I'm twenty.
I recently went to a garage sale and I found a black shiny raincoat , black on the outside, navy blue on the inside, with a belt . It is in brand new condition and has never been worn - still has the price tags on it for five pounds Australian - and it is a perfect fit on me. It was made by Dunlop in Australia. I was told by the woman who sold it that her husband got it new years ago and has never worn it. It looks as though it was made yesterday.
I have been offered big money for it! But my partner said No, don't sell it, as he loves it on me!
It is a very nice coat to wear out as everyone justs stops and looks at me in it! It's very shiny and looks just so good when I do the belt up very tight.
I'm told im a very lucky girl , so can someone please tell me why? Is this a rare coat? or what is it about it?
Thank you.
Sonja.
Dear Sonja
Well, I get the feeling you know.
The mystery is not why your wonderful find is wonderful, but why these wonderful things ever went out of fashion.
Just pull that belt a notch tighter will you, just for me? It will make me walk taller myself.
Thanks so much for writing.
Best wishes
Lorraine
