Dear Lorraine

We are a group of concerned parents in the Midlands. We read Mrs Smith's comments about her school uniform with interest. We wish wearing raincoats with hoods and face covering was compulsary in state secondary schools.

We come from a number of different ethnic backgrounds as well including white Christians.

If all secondary school girl pupils wore ankle length raincoats, with hoods up and facemasks, boots and gloves all the time discipline would be restored to school academic performance would improve. Girls would not be pestered by boys and not have unwanted pregencies. The ethnic minority member who wanted to veil fully would not stand out nor would anyone from any other ethnic group.

The government urges people to cover up because of skin cancer and claims it wishes to restore law and order to our youth. This the way to do it.

Dear Dr Singh

Thankyou for your recent letter regarding compulsory school uniform (hooded raincoats).

This is an attractive idea, however it would be difficult to gain parliamentary support for such a move at this time. You would need to mount a large scale campaign to bring forward legislation on this matter.

Locally parents with children at any school can lobby the head and govenors to introduce such uniform.Indeed you could get your self elected as govenor and introduce these uniform rules.
