Dear Lorraine,
I have just happened on your site and am absolutely amazed! I love it. I particularly like the letters and am glad to see that there are other women who enjoy the thrill of a mackintosh!
When I met my aptly named husband, I had to introduce him to the joys of mackintoshes. It was a far cry from my other boy friends who literally could not keep their hands off me when I went out with them dressed in a rubber mac. It took some time but I'm glad to say that he now enjoys with me the pleasure of being in a mac.
I am old enough to remember the wonderful MacMac and their superb brochures. For a long time my favourite mac was one of their red rubberised nylon capes. My present favourite is Weathervain's black Beverley - fancy them naming a mackintosh for me! - but I am dropping hints to my husband about a purple Nile Queen for Christmas.
I would really like to see more girls out in their rubber macs, you will be amazed at the effect it will have on the men!!
