Charles Mackintosh Great Exhibition Advert

A double-page spread advertising the existence and products of Charles Macintosh and Co appeared in Slater's Directory of 1855. It celebrates the firm's success at the Great Exhibition in London in 1851, where it won the Gold Medal awarded in Class XXVIII.

I've plundered the medal illustration from this advert to use as the logo for these history pages.

(Slater's (of 'Slater's Directories') was the new name for Pigot & Co, under which name an earlier series of trade directories appeared.) The advert here appears in Volume II , The Northern Counties)
