Hello Lorraine
Your site sure does keep the rainwear world updated and upbeat.
I thought it was time I again submitted a letter to you. My last letter was February 1999.
Perhaps if you are reading this a quick read of my 1999 letter would help understand some points made here.
I have long been fascinated by the effects rainwear has had on my life, I still maintain that one’s interest in type of rainwear and material greatly depends on era you were raised in.
For me I was raised in an era of rubber rainwear. A pure rubber coat was my first memory and first joy. Rubber was soon to disappear from the market and was replace by vinyl. I was soon attracted to vinyl rainwear, however over the years most rainwear is of interest.
I feel sad for men who have a rainwear interest but have feelings of fear, guilt or perhaps shame in regard to it. Most men would like females to participate in their interest. My research thus far has indicated that women are unlikely to have an interest of this nature, and it is difficult therefore for men to find companions who share it..
I would like to see more letters to Lorraine in regard to sharing thoughts and background regarding the rainwear interest. I believe that to share an early interest in this wonderful and harmless enthusiasm will help anyone who has a difficult time wearing rainwear of choice to do so without feeling sheepish.
I wear my rainwear (all types, colours, and capes in the rain anytime I feel the need). I would urge everyone to relax, share their thoughts and enjoy.
And thank you Lorraine for your marvelous site

Hi PJ
Lovely to hear from you. Thanks for your compliment - and for what you say as well - which I heartily agree with! Absolutely no reason to be miserable about having such a gift.
Best
Lorraine
