Dear Mrs Prior

When I was in secretarial college, the head demanded students wear school-like gaberdine mackintoshes, black, with a college badge. I would urge you to do the same.

Today office life is dominated by new technology. Employers can keep close tabs on the work output or otherwise of employees. Hard work and self-control are demanded throughout the working day.Slackers are soon removed before they are entitled to employment law rights.Your college must prepare students for this.

A mackintosh code will soon sort out the keen students from the wasters. A calf-length double breasted mackintosh with a high collar and a deep hood would be the thing. Have one designed and made for you and include in your fees the supply of the uniform rainwear.

Regulations should insist that the student should wear the mackintosh from home to college fully buttoned-up. The hood should be worn up and fastened (except by specially announced permision of the Head when it is really warm and sunny in summer), and the collar would always have to be to be worn up and fastened to cover the mouth.

Follow these simple rules and I think your secretarial college will be a great success.

Yours Sincerely

Susan Tipewell
