Hi Lorraine,
My name is Mark and I have just found your site.
I have been reading the letters page and was wondering if you would like to hear how my mother used to wrap both my sister and I up in raincoats, tie headscarfs over our mouth and nose and over our heads, to protect us from the wind and rain.
We are twins and my mother had hoped for two girls! We still wrap ourselves up to-day and as we live in the countryside and quite close to each other, when it is windy and raining we wrap ourselves up and go walking in the woods and hills near where we live.
