How to care for your mackintoshA good mackintosh will derive undoubted benefit from companionship, which a first rate pair of rubber boots will supply. Remember though that the boots in their turn will need regular exercise of the powers that are natural to them. One technique is to stand for short period (on a daily or at least thrice-weekly basis) under a waterfall, so that your mackintosh practises resistence to the impact of rain, while your boots enjoy the exclusion of flood. Care needs to be exercised though, lest downward water enters the boots via the open leg (the Achilles heel of a boot of course), and/or splashes from uncareful stumbling about at the foot of the fall reach upwards onto the upper thighs or even worse.
