The disappearance of the rubber mackintosh in the 1960's -70's is the source of major frustration to mackintosh enthusiasts in many countries. The few remaining sources take exhorbitant prices for substandard garments. Rubber macks are still found in the far east, China, Thailand and also, according to reports in some eastern European countries formerly in the Sovjet sphere. I think it is high time we made a determined effort to identify sources from far away and let us get back to the golden era of the rubber mackintosh.
