Hi Lorraine,
I just wanted to say that I love your site and read it very often, as you problably know I have written before sharing my experences here. May I add another?
I have recently been lucky and have been able to get hold of a ladies cream/yellow riding mackintosh. Its really old and very well worn and rather grubby from a lot of wear.
The mack smells quite strongly of rubber even though double-textured, the collar and seam tapes are comming apart: but I absolutely adore it!
Although my first love is for the single-texture rubber-lined cotton mackintoshes from years ago, and also shiny cotton-backed 60/70s pvc macks, I now have fallen in love with old double-texture mackintoshes.
I now know why people love these mackintoshes so much and I now want more old worn-out ones. If anyone has a ladies old double-texture mackintosh that they no longer want I would love to have it. (Lorraine will forward your message.)
My kind regards to you
Dave
Hi Dave
You will see I'm just that little bit behind... Sorry about that.
Anyway, lovely to get your note and to hear of your new love, which I hope is still going double-strong.
