I love 'The Cloakroom'.
Thank you for posting my note about my raincoats. It's always cool to read things I have written/ sent.
I know it wasn't planned that way, but the pictures reflect my childhood/school memories. The white cloth raincoat was of the type that my mother wore when I was a child (and father - he had one which was rubberised). It also brings back memories of Ms S - my beautiful fourth grade math teacher, with her monogrammed beige raincoat.
It also conjures up images of Ms K, my sixth grade homeroom teacher (her's was a beige trenchcoat, with a similar effect) - along with J (the first girl, I remember having strong feelings for) who like Ms K in miniature wore a khaki raincoat/trenchcoat. She was my buddy in parochial school.
Anyhow.
Thank you.
Jim
P.S. I like the page about the 'London Fog' trenchcoats.
