Dear Lorraine

Re the Abi icon from John.

I don't want to sound big-headed, but am I the Abi, John refers to in the Abi icon posted on your web site last month?

If this is the case, I must say that I disapprove greatly regarding the way I am supposed to dress, for the following reasons.

1) I always wear FULL SCHOOL UNIFORM WITH VERY STRICT REGULATIONS AS TO HOW THE UNIFORM IS WORN.

2) My coat is AL WAYS A TRADITIONAL SCHOOLGIRL GABERDINE, not a rubber mackintosh.

3) My gabardine is ALWAYS DOUBLE BREASTED not single like the mackintosh in the Icon.

4) I would NEVER wear my gabardine WITH MY TOP BUTTON NOT FASTENED. The top button on the model is not fastened so there can absolutely be no likeness whatsoever to me.

5) Head covering must either be, a GABERDINE HOOD, SOUWESTER, or TRADITIONAL SCHOOLGIRL HAT

6) I trust that the model's boots are WELLINGTON BOOTS and not rubber riding boots.

7) Is the model wearing a full, traditional school uniform of gymslip, tie and blazer under the mackintosh, I doubt it.
