Note the sunset reflected on the boots. They are genuine Argylls, the logo-labels have been removed only because nowadays they are not as well gummed-on as they used to be and this particular pair was delivered with unsightly paper folds on the labels - one of which was already peeling. I was disinclined to make a fuss, even though it is yet another example of the way in which we are allowing declining standards to reduce the quality of our lives.
