Hi Lorraine
Hope you are well - and sorry I've not written in ages. I've been really busy, and therefore left totally undone in the rainwear stakes, without even a soul to urge me to "come here and stand still while I do that up for you Andy!"
Spotted (pardon the pun) this website on rain this morning. Rain.
This rather brilliantly appears to tell you where it is going to rain.... Where the flustered & beautiful people organising school runs in the downpour are. I shall style her as "Hilary in a hurry." Have you met her? Hilary has 3 children under 10. She owns a people carrier & is part of the UK's new squeezed middle. She works about 100 hours a week and earns just enough to be about to lose her Child Allowance Benefit under the new regs.
And now?? With this new website, we know just where to find her... Just where the weather is inclement enough to see her thrusting her arms into her trench in the morning, before leaning forward, still undone herself, to zip up the parkas that belong to Abigail, Joshua, & Noah - her three cherubs that appeared in the noughties.... Abigail and Joshua? She gets them done up and turns her attention to Noah - who plays up, & won't stand still as she tries to zip up his coat against the downpour... As she struggles, Joshua undoes his one! So does Abigail.... Noah is done up now, so she turns back to Joshua... "You've GOT TO have that fastened!" As Joshua gets done up, Noah defiantly undoes his parka... & so it goes on!
We've all met Hilary I suspect. She always wears a mac - & I could fall in love with her so easily!!
According to the website - she may well live in Glasgow.... It's often damp there, so her mac is a necessity... which she eventually gets buttoned when the children stop playing up. Glasgow also has many professional people in its workforce... So yes.... Let's imagine Hilary lives there!!
Andy
