School holidays here and our teenage girls hanging about with boys again. Luckily they like to dress like Goths so it's easy to get them to wear hoodies and long black trench coats.

The trench coats were a find in TK Maxx - ankle-length double-breasted with highish stand up collars. Worn over an Air Max armless hoody which has a face mask to cover the nose and mouth fastened with velcro. A few stitches quickly fixed the face mask in place permanently covering the nose and mouth. The generous hood of the hoody is deep and can be fastened down over eyebrows.

Result happy fifteen year old girls and parents as they are unlikely to smoke, drink or have sex so dressed. Girls have found big black army boots and black leather gloves to go with this perfect get up for the English summer.

Have also sown neck warmers into some of the teenage boys' pull-over-the-head hoodies. Leaving a tiny half moon shape for their eyes. They cannot take the hood of the hoody down so must wear their hood and mask all the time. Keeps them out of the local shop and stops them drinking and smoking. They both put their Swedish parkas on over the hoodies. Their parkas also have the hoods stuck tied tight. Seemed happy on a sunny day 70 degrees plus!
