Weathering the Storms

The Hoodie Club, Deansgate, Manchester 22 11 08

Dear Lorraine,

Glad to see you and your club and Lakeland Elements are weathering the economic storms. Fully buttoned up in your trench coat and hood I trust! Lovely summer and fall, rain, rain and snow. Lots of lovely hooded coats and parkas to be seen, being worn by men and women. Lots of hoodies worn with their hoods up often two or even three hoods worn up at once. More and more people are wearing hoodies not just youths but people of all ages.

Our friend Clair is back at uni and working part time for her Asian business man. She wears a long distinctive green M90 Swedish parka with the hood up all the time done up so only the narrowest crack show where eyes are. She wears army boots, combat trousers and other army gear under her parka. She appeared at the Hoody Club wearing a second Vast M90 parka over her normal one. It reached almost to her ankles a size 200. It must have been made especially for a very large Swedish soldier six foot six or taller with a large girth!

The Dean at -------- University tried to ban hoodies, but was ruled out of order. How can you allow religious women to wear their black totally concealing dress and not let other people wear hoods and facemasks if they want to? The ruling in favour of some foreign religious women was of course nothing to do with the large fees paid by some Middle East governments to the university.

Lots of nice parkas to be seen in TKMaxx. Some very nice Schott New York puffer jackets with big fur trimmed hoods and concealing balaclava hoods underneath. Much like the ones featured in the pictures at the top of the Covering Up pages that were on sale a few years ago. Also lovely women's American label long coats with deep hoods and internal mufflers that cover the mouth and nose.

Various designs of goggle hood jackets and hoodies and jackets that zip up over the face to be found, Sports Direct often have these.

Keep you hood up! Never mind global warming its getting colder!
