mac in rubberised cottonLassiter, Roger Young, US, 1984

Reaching with a certain lack of conviction for period authenticity (the film is set in 1934) director Roger Young has Jane Seymour wear a single-texture rubberised cotton mackintosh for some of the film's key moments.. Not an obvious choice for this period, but a stroke which haply confers significance on an otherwise undistinguished entertainment. Seymour wears her smart blue mackintosh with allure and panache.
