in 1979 he topped the charts with his reggae version of La Marseillaise.
He had bought the original sheet music. In the auction room he was surrouded
with men with ties and suit but he wore his Burberry belted over jeans
- the "négligé" look, unshaven, a cigarette in

For that reason alone the film is worth seeing, but also for the fact that Maggie Gyllenhaal, when applying for the position, enters the office wearing a purple rubber cape [For the purist: polyurethane or the like I'm sure - ed] which she keeps on for the entire scene (a couple of minutes). Dave D suggets you may be thinking of The Long Haul:
A long forgotten film starring Victor Mature and Diana Dors. Something about fur-smuggling. Diana doesn't need furs - she's got her trench coat! (Dave D) I'm wondering is this might be the film referred to in your query list, which perhaps got confused with 'Hell Drivers' from the same year, which does feature a young Sean Connery but no Diana Dors (and even worse, no macs!). I don't this can be the Drew Barrymore film, or the Michael Fox vehicle (1984?) (and not worth £3.50.) - LE
