Can raincoats be entirely armless?

Burberry think so. This media image shows Kate Moss very smartly turned out in a Burberry trenchcoat - except that it is a coat with its sleeves simply missing, excised it seems with surgical precision, along the raglan line.

Theoreticians will ask: There are no leggings to a raincoat, why should there be sleeves?
