Dear Lorraine,
In reply to Bethany posted March 1st.
The winter sales at Next and Gap have been full of NB3 snorkel hooded
parkas. Some very good quality and going for £15. Also some excellent
fish tail snorkel hooded parkas.
Indeed I have not seen so many people wearing lovely hooded coats and
parkas in cities in England for years.
The recent cold spell snow and hail has produced plenty of sightings of
hoods fully snorkelled up.Recently on the Central line in one tube car
there were no less than five women travelling seperatly who had kept their
hoods fully snorkelled up. They were well out of the snow and the deep
tube is still warm even this time of year.
There certainly are more hooded women about now. There are lots of teenage
girls with the shorter NB2 style parkas. These only reach to the waist
and have a elasticated band there but often have large generous snorkel
hoods. I have seen a few of these fully snorkelled up,worn under an ankle
length leather hoodless coat. A fashion from urban U S A but very enjoyable.
If any of your readers want to wear hoods up all the time, the answer
is just do it! People dont actually take much notice. Arab women go about
veiled in London, so there is no reason other women (or men) shouldn't.
May I say how much I enjoy your site.Keep your hood up!
Andy
