EN QUELQUES MOTS

Around 1965 the fashion was for blue anoraks with a hood attached. Most of the students wore them. My parents had bought me one. I like the hood on the head especially for the girls. There were cold winters in those days and I remember a group of girls all of them with their hoods up. I remember a mother who always wore her hood up even in spring time. In September one of the top students, a"tough" guy, wore his hood up even when it was not raining and was always surrounded by other students.

Now is the Autumn again ...

After this long hot summer it is time to put on our macs again! I begin to see women and girls in rainwear of all kinds. I went with my cousin to have a drink in the famous Brussels tavern"le Cirrio" near the Bourse (a must for the visitor) and there found a lovely woman in her fifties, , black hair, sipping a glass of wine at her table, wearing a classic Burberry trench coat. I don't dare to stare - you will understand - but this lovely woman in her trenchcoat - just exactly what I love to see.

This summer ...

of 2004 is not as hot as last year.
In the streets of Brussels I think I met the woman of the autumn of last year with her burberry trench coat open.

I also like the girls wearing long leather coats with a belt in this season of the year.
